New Chairperson of Rowing New Zealand
JANE DAVEL BA, MBA, MInstD, MAICD
Following the retirement of Gerald (Gerry) Dwyer as the Chairman of Rowing New Zealand the Board has elected Jane Davel as our new Chairperson. Jane was initially appointed a Director of Rowing New Zealand in May 2020. Jane is the first independently appointed Director who has been elected Chair of Rowing New Zealand
Jane has a Master’s in Business Administration and is a professional director and has senior leadership experience and a background in product management and marketing across a number of service industries. She currently Chairs the board of St. Andrew’s Village Trust (Inc) and serves on the boards of the Electrical Workers Registration Board, the Licensed Cadastral Surveyors Board. She is a member of the Institute of Directors in New Zealand and of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
While living in Australia Jane learnt to row on the Yarra River in Melbourne.
