Athletes training abroad must meet one of the below criteria to be eligible for the International Pathway 2025/2026:

A. Invited to 2025 Age Group Team Trials (U19, U23, World University)

OR

B. Incoming Freshman must meet one on water AND one erg standard, rising Sophomore/Junior/Senior athletes must meet BOTH erg requirements –

SICC/NICC – Open/Prem 1x Top 4, Open/Prem 2- Top 2

NZCC – Snr/U22 1x Top 4, Snr/U22 2- Top 2

NZSS – U18 1x Top 4, U18 2- Top 2

NZ Uni – Champs 1x Top 4, Champs 2- Top 2

Coxswains – please fill out the form if you have previously been selected for any age group (U18, U19, U21, U22 or U23) team or invited to an age group trial. If you don’t meet any of these criteria, please contact Michele Munro for further information.

As part of the International Pathway there will be regular check ins (email, Zoom, Individual Development Plans), US/UK collegiate coach check ins and continued support as you pursue future RNZ team selections.

International Pathway Athlete Expectations 2025-2026 – submit the ergs listed below between Tuesday 1, October, 2025 and Tuesday 1, April 2026:

• 2 x 2km Erg Test
• 2x 5km/6km Erg Test (dependent upon program)
• If nominating for the 2026 U23 Team, one 5km/6km and one 2km test will coincide with dates outlined in the 2026 RNZ High Performance Selection Guidelines

All athletes who wish to continue their involvement with the International Pathway must complete the nomination form unless you were invited to trial for the U23 team in 2025.
