Rowing NZ Master Training Camps

Rowing New Zealand is launching a nationwide series of Masters Training Camps in 2026, building toward the NZ Masters Regatta at Lake Karapiro on 19–20 September 2026.

The camps will be led by former RNZ coaches Duncan Holland and Raf Wyatt, both highly experienced across all levels of the sport, from novice to international competition.

Duncan Holland is an accomplished coach in New Zealand and internationally, with experience spanning beginner through to elite athletes. Duncan is known for his clear technical coaching and strength in crew boat performance, delivering practical, athlete-focused sessions.

Raf Wyatt is also an experienced coach at both national and international levels, with a strong technical emphasis across sculling and sweep rowing. Raf specialises in developing efficient technique and sustainable performance for athletes of all abilities.

Each camp is designed to include:

- Four on-water sessions in crew boats (more where possible)
- Ergometer sessions and technical video analysis
- Education seminars
- Individualised feedback, including video review
