Role Appointment: Development Co-Ordinator
We are proud to announce that Maxine Hughes has been appointed to the role of Rowing New Zealand’s Development Co-Ordinator. Maxine comes to us after holding roles of Assistant Director of Sport as well as the Rowing Manager at Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland for the last three years, prior to that Maxine was the Sports Co-ordinator at Macleans College.
Maxine has been involved in rowing for many years as a rower and more recently involved in coaching and managing teams. Earlier this year Maxine was the Team Manager for our Under 19 New Zealand Rowing team who attended the 2022 Under 19 World Championships in Italy, she also held the role of Team Manager for our Under 21 team in 2021.
Maxine brings a wealth of athlete and team management experience to Rowing New Zealand and we are very much looking forward to her joining the team in mid-January 2023.
