U23 World Championships – starts Monday 25 July

  • 21 Jul 22

World Rowing Under 19 and Under 23 Championships are taking place in Varese, Italy from 25-31 July. World Rowing has received entries for 1452 competitors coming from 61 nations.

A total of 22 boat classes will be contested – for the Under 23 Championships.

Annabel Wynn-Williams the cox for our U23 W4+ is going to have a busy regatta as she is also competing as the cox for our U19 W8+. We hope our U23 squad enjoy their time on and off the water at the regatta.

The World Rowing Under 23 Championships is open to all World Rowing Federation member federations. Rowers must be under the age of 23. The Under 23s began in 1976 and was called the ‘Seniors Match’. The name was then changed to the ‘Nations Cup’ before becoming the World Rowing Under 23 Championships in 2005.
