U19 World Championships – starts Wednesday 27 July
World Rowing Under 19 and Under 23 Championships are taking place in Varese, Italy from 25-31 July. World Rowing has received entries for 1452 competitors coming from 61 nations.
A total of 14 boat classes will be contested for the Under 19 Championships.
Competition will be fierce at all stages of the U19 Champs. Although the USA are said to be the favourites in the women’s eight, with two gold medalists from Plovdiv 2021 returning in the boat. Our New Zealand women’s eight crew have a shot at breaking the American domination in this boat class.
We hope our U19 squad enjoy their time on and off the water at the regatta!
