Rowing NZ International Pathway Update
The Pathway team at Rowing NZ are looking to update the current International Pathway on Friday, 1 September, 2023.
Athletes training abroad can be named to the International Pathway in September each year if they meet the Tier 3 or above selection criteria over the past year (September 2022-September 2023) -Tier 3 Selection Criteria
As part of the International Pathway there will be regular check ins (email, Zoom, Individual Development Plans), US/UK collegiate coach check ins and continued support as you pursue future RNZ team selections.
International Pathway Athlete Expectations 2023-2024 - submit the ergs listed below between Sunday 1, October, 2023 and Monday 1, April 2024:
- 2 x 2km Erg Test
- 2x 5km/6km Erg Test (dependent upon program)
(If nominating for 2024 U23’s, one 5km/6km and one 2km test will coincide with dates outlined in the 2024 RNZ High Performance Selection Guidelines).
All athletes who wish to continue their involvement with the International Pathway must complete the nomination form, unless you were invited to trial for the U23 team in 2023.
