Brooke Kilmister

Brooke started rowing back in 2014 with St Peter's School, Cambridge. She has a very impressive rowing resume, where during high school she came away with at least one National Title/Gold Medal at the North Island Secondary School Champs and at the Aon Maadi Regatta. In 2015 - her novice U15 year, Brooke won the Girl's U15 Coxed Quad and Octuple at the Aon Maadi Regatta. The following year, Brooke won Gold in the Girl's U16 Coxed Four, Bronze in the Quad and Silver in the Eight. At the 2017 Aon Maadi regatta, Brooke claimed silver in the Girl's U17 Coxed Four and Gold in the Girl's U17 Eight. Her outstanding results earned her a spot in the 2017 North Island Rowing Team.

In 2018, it was Brooke's final year of high school. This was a standout year for Brooke, as she went on to go undefeated in her U18 Pair and Four all season, finishing strong with winning Gold in the Girl's U18 Pair, Four (Dawn Cup) and Eight (Levin Jubilee Cup) at the 2018 Aon Maadi regatta - the Women's Sweep Trifecta. After impressing selectors, Brooke was named in the 2018 Junior Rowing Team, where she raced in the Women's Coxless Four claiming Bronze at the 2018 Junior World Rowing Championships in Racice, Czech Republic.

Brooke did a summer with Waikato RPC in 2018/19, where she was named and competed with the 2019 NZ U21 Rowing Team, racing in the Trans-Tasman series against Australia and Canada.

Brooke continued to row with Waikato RPC, which helped her perform at a high level, as she was named in the 2020 NZ U23 Rowing Team which unfortunately, was unable to travel and compete due to Covid. After another final summer season with Waikato RPC in 2020/21, Brooke was named in the 2021 NZ U23/Development Squad. Brooke was unfortunately in and out of the boat for a year due to sickness and injury.

However, in 2022 Brooke was named in the 2022 Women's U23 Quad that competed at the U23 World Rowing Championships in Varese, Italy. The crew were faced with very tough competition, coming away with 7th overall. Brooke spent another year with the NZ Elite Development Squad, having a summer performing well and consistently - roping in some podium finishes along the way at North Island Club Champs and Nationals.

Brooke has been named in the 2023 Elite Women's Sweep Squad, coached by Matt Cameron.

Off the water, Brooke owns two businesses. She works alongside her sister, where the two are determined to help people find a balanced relationship with food and nutrition through their business - Whole Nutrition NZ. Brooke has also teamed up with partner - Luca Kirwan, bringing authentic Italian Pizza and cuisine to the Waikato and Bay of Plenty region with their business - Magna & Tasi (Shut up & Eat). On top of this, Brooke has just earned her Real Estate license, as well as studying part-time through Massey University. She is working towards a Bachelor in Business, majoring in Business and minoring in Property Management.
