Presenting a great opportunity to foster the next generation of rowers from a club celebrated for punching above our weight.

Hauraki Plains Rowing requires a new head coach to manage our established program and to learn and grow as a coach in a supportive atmosphere.

Described by some as “the most underrated sculling club in the country” we are blessed with some of the best training water in the country across the road from our club. With no other clubs to share our training ground we have a unique environment where our rowers are fostered into being the best that they can be.

Our new coach will begin their Hauraki journey in September 2024. Initially a one season role, for the 24/25 season through to the 2025 Maadi Cup, our preference would be to extend the contract into the future assuming things are going well for the club and the coach.

Additional benefits to the role are the potential for additional work at Hauraki Plains College and subsidised accommodation being part of the coaching package if required.

Ngatea is central to Auckland, Hamilton, Cambridge, Tauranga and sits at the doorstep to the Coromandel Peninsula. We would love to hear from aspirational coaches wanting to live in this great part of the country and to help us continue the legacy of the Hauraki Rowing program.

At Hauraki Rowing, we offer a great opportunity to progress skills as a coach and communicator, with sound support and guidance on your journey.
