Rowing Coach - Glendowie College

Glendowie College is seeking passionate, self-driven individuals to join our team for the upcoming 2022/23 season.

We’ve just come off the back of a successful season in part due to a refocus on the culture of the squad and we’re looking on continuing that growth into bigger and better things for the future.

Glendowie College is a public secondary school located in east Auckland. Our rowing squad is affiliated with St Georges Rowing Club and rows out of their club rooms on the Tamaki Estuary. We’re an established rowing squad of around fifty athletes, a large well maintained fleet of top tier racing boats, an active and supportive parent committee, and a skilled and passionate existing group of coaches. We also work very closely with the school and sports department - giving the coaches the support when they need it and allowing us to utilise various school facilities.

Successful candidates will work closely with the head coach and other squad coaches to carry out our whole squad training programme, implement our technical model to a high standard, and ensure that all coaching is in line with our squad and school values.

We’re a team with a variety of rowing backgrounds and experience levels. The successful candidate will be able to bring something special to the table. We expect our coaches to be able to contribute to the evolution of our training programme.

We are flexible with hours and can work around work/study commitments. Successful candidates will be expected to attend all camps and regattas.

This is a paid position. Remuneration will reflect your experience and availability for the role.
