Hauraki Plains Rowing is looking to hire a Coach on a season contract, starting in September 2022 and finishing with Maadi Cup, in 2023. We want someone with a sound knowledge of sculling and the ability to impart this knowledge to both beginner and senior High School rowers. The job requires the implementation and planning of a proven program. This would entail clear and open communication with the other coaches at weekly meetings and open lines of communication to rowers and parents. It would also require club house management and maintenance, depending on the abilities of the applicant. There is also an opportunity to combine this role with a teacher aid position within Hauraki Plains College.

Hauraki Rowing allows all students who enrol in the program to row. We have a record of moulding these rowers to a position where they can compete in A Finals at the highest level of competition. We are a club with a proud tradition, we punch well above our weight with results to back this up. There is a supportive committee culture, with a clear line of where everyone's roles sit.

Ngatea is central to Auckland, Hamilton, Cambridge, Tauranga and sits at the doorstep to the Coromandel. We have a river outside the front door of our clubhouse with some of the longest straightest training water in the country. At Hauraki Rowing the applicant has the potential to progress skills as a coach and communicator, with sound support and guidance on your journey.
