Waikato Diocesan School for Girls Rowing Club has a proud history of 27 years of secondary school rowing. Our mission is to achieve excellence in rowing with a caring and rewarding environment at all levels.
This role is employed by the Rowing Club which is run by a parent Committee and operates separately to the school, but aligns itself with the school.
The Director of Rowing is an evolving newly formed role and our growing Club is looking for a capable and energetic leader to work with the Committee to set and implement the Club’s mission and strategic goals. The Director of Rowing will oversee the rowing programme and will direct and mentor the coaching team, while taking an active role in coaching. The Director will work with the School Rowing Manager to liaise with the school and coordinate recruitment, student care and logistics.
The ideal candidate will have proven success and experience at either Secondary School, Club or Representative Level. Remuneration will reflect your experience and commitment to the rowing programme.
This is a part-time role, with a concentration of time during the rowing season from October to March. We are looking for the perfect person to help lead our Club and we will adapt the role to suit the requirements of the successful candidate.
